In September 2018, ORA Singers announced a Call for Scores for a Composer Competition in two categories: Open and Youth. From this, 3 Open Finalists and 10 Youth Finalists have been selected.
MEET THE 2019 FINALISTS!
These 3 Open Competition finalists have been asked to write a new ‘reflection’, which will be performed live and adjudicated at the Composer Competition Final Concert, on Saturday 27th of July, Kings College, London.

Loreto Sixth Form College, Denton, Age 17
North Hykeham Joint Sixth Form College, Thurlby, Age 16
Wycombe Girl's High School, Maidenhead, Age 11
Kesgrave High School Sixth Form, Kesgrave, Age 17
Prudhoe Community High School, Wylam, Age 17
Lurgan College, Northern Ireland, Age 17
The Priory Academy LSST, Cherry Willingham, Age 16
Each of these 10 Youth Finalists have been assigned one of the ORA Singers Youth Competition Mentors to receive an intensive course of compositional tutelage in order to write a brand new ‘reflective’ work, which will be performed live and adjudicated at the Composer Competition Final Concert, on Saturday 27th of July, Kings College, London. The mentors for the Youth Competition are:
Kerry Andrew, Richard Allain, Oliver Tarney, Kim Porter & Thomas Hewitt Jones.
