Cheltenham Festivals- Elizabeth, Our Queen

A programme celebrating fair Oriana herself, Queen Elizabeth I, featuring a selection of madrigals from the justly famous collection The Triumphs of Oriana, all madrigals written in honour of the queen. Sung in relief alongside modern madrigals setting Shakespeare and other Elizabethan texts by composers such as John Rutter, Jonathan Dove, Cecilia McDowall and Bob Chilcott, ORA Singers present a beautiful programme of the genre across the centuries.
